Arnold Bodmer, born in Zurich Switzerland, grew up watching his father conduct Mozart at the local church. Arnold began playing the piano during the European Dixieland craze of the early 60’s. He then moved to Hamburg, Germany to play with an international folk group - the group ended up opening for Johnny Halliday at Olympic Stadium in Berlin in 1966.
Arnold then moved to Los Angeles to study music at S.F. Valley College and later settled in Albuquerque, where he has played in numerous bands throughout the years. Arnold was a member of the original 80’s band, “The Wet Sox” and a permanent member of the R&B group, “Cadillac Bob and the Rhinestones” and the jazz combo, Bonnie Watts and City Reign. Arnold has also appeared with “The Drifters,” “The Platters,” The Shirelles,” Mary Wells, Ben E. King and “The Coasters.”
As well as being a recording artist, Arnold has a private piano studio teaching all styles and ages and is also a professional piano tuner.
